The day will include presentations from local experts, a demo from SUNY-ESFs woodsmen team and of course, the much anticipated rubber loon race! A huge part of Newcomb’s history revolves around logging and includes a very rich biological legacy as well. The two things that seem to be emblematic about Newcomb surfaced as Logging and Loons, the name of this weekend’s event.

At 3:00 pm, 500 made-in-the-USA rubber loons will dash to the finish line in our 3rd annual Loon Race! Sponsor a loon for $20 and support the outdoor educational programming at AIC.
